MBG S.I.N.Y. is dedicated to changing the fitness industry and returning people to the true meaning of "Physical Culture." It is our mission to have our clients attain a high level of physical fitness which will allow them to maximize their enjoyment and quality of life. We encourage you to train in a way not possible in a conventional gym setting. We do not include machines in our training and strive to reach everyone on a personal level. In the words of Jon Hinds, "Be like nature, live in balance - train our innate movement skills and active alignment daily, eat strong plants when hungry, just enough, be kind to yourself, people and planet, smile and laugh as much as possible." We follow the roots of nature in everything we do....we run, we jump, we crawl, we climb, and we interact. We strengthen ourselves with full body workouts and the food the earth provides us.
Monkey Bar Gymnasium makes movement skills easy to understand by breaking these skills into three phases; Stability (beginner's or restorative level), Strength (intermediate level), and Power (advanced level). Every movement we teach has a stability, strength, and power variation. You will perform the variation relative to your personal fitness level and not that of the group. Our workout's also provide a high level of instructor feedback. Another facet of our training is to incorporate a yoga sequence into every workout, in an attempt to correct any misalignments acquired during the course of one's life. The ultimate goal of MBG S.I.N.Y. is to create a community within it's membership that is united in a journey of self improvement through physical fitness.
